Have you ever wanted to spend an evening completely sober, playing board games, and watching an election to a student society? If so, you'll probably be free at 8 pm on the 27th of November, when we at the Dialectic Society will be holding our iconic Sober Social in the Glasgow University Union.
The evening will be a chance to relax and get to know one another in an easygoing environment, with plenty of games to keep you occupied. Any 1st year member of the society is also free to put themselves forward for the position of first year rep, which is a great chance to get involved on Dialectic Board and be a voice for your fellow new members. Have you ever wanted to improve your public speaking skills? With our Public Speaking Workshop, you can learn from some of the most poised, confident, not-busy-on-a-Wednesday-night members of Dialectic board. So please join us at 6pm on October 9th, in the Glasgow University Union Bridie library to do just that.

On Thursday 3rd October, one of the most hotly anticipated events in Dialectic returns: our annual Subcrawl! Meet us outside the Queen Margaret Union at 6 pm, then get ready for a tour of some of Glasgow's best pubs, with the night finishing at the GUU and HIVE. Our route has been meticulously planned by our Social Secretary, whoever that may be at the moment.
As with the best events, we also have a theme. Come dressed as something that starts with the same letter as your name. Or don't. I don't really mind.
IMPORTANT: Please purchase an all-day subway ticket in advance, to make sure the night runs smoothly. This can be done at any subway station, but please message us if you're unsure how to do so.

Anyone is welcome to come along, though non-members will have to pay a small £6 fee. If you're interested in purchasing membership, you can do so via the link in our bio, and you can also do so in person on the night.
